    Navigating the Dalmatian Coast: Best Sailing Routes from Split

    The Dalmatian Coast is one of the world’s most stunning sailing destinations, known for its crystal-clear waters, picturesque islands, and historic towns. For a week-long journey along this beautiful coastline, chartering a catamaran in Croatia is a fantastic option. If you’re seeking luxury, a yacht charter from Split provides unparalleled comfort and style, with top-notch amenities and personalized services that ensure a relaxing and unforgettable experience. Here is one of the best sailing routes from the heart of this region. 

    Split to Brač 

    Begin your week-long journey with a yacht charter from Split and sail away to Brač. The island of Brač is known for its natural beauty and charming towns. Dock in Milna, a picturesque harbour town that offers a tranquil start to your trip. Alternatively, head to Bol, home to the famous Zlatni Rat beach, perfect for a relaxing afternoon swim.

    Brač to Hvar

    On the second day, set sail for Hvar, one of Croatia’s most famous islands. Hvar Town is a blend of historical charm and modern luxury, with its ancient walls, stunning cathedral, and lively nightlife. Arrive in the afternoon and spend the day exploring the town’s historical sites, shopping, or lounging at one of the beach bars. In the evening, enjoy Hvar’s renowned nightlife, with options ranging from sophisticated cocktail bars to amazing nightclubs.

    Hvar to Pakleni Islands

    After a night in Hvar, sail to the nearby Pakleni Islands, a serene archipelago perfect for a day of relaxation. Anchor in one of the secluded bays and spend the day swimming, snorkelling, and soaking up the sun. The Pakleni Islands offer a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of Hvar Town, with their crystal-clear waters and pristine beaches.

    Pakleni Islands to Vis

    Leave the Pakleni Islands behind and set sail for Vis, one of Croatia’s most remote and unspoiled islands. Vis Town is rich in history, offering a glimpse into Croatia’s past with its military forts and traditional architecture. The island is also known for its excellent seafood, so be sure to try the local cuisine.

    Day Trip to Blue Cave

    On the fifth day, sail to the nearby island of Biševo to visit the famous Blue Cave. This natural wonder is a must-see, with its mesmerizing blue light that fills the cave when the sun is at the right angle. After visiting the Blue Cave, head to the village of Komiža on Vis. Komiža is known for its traditional fishing culture and laid-back atmosphere.

    Vis to Korčula

    As you near the end of your journey, sail from Vis to Korčula, a cultural gem of the Dalmatian Coast. Korčula Town is often referred to as “Little Dubrovnik” due to its medieval architecture and rich history. Spend the day wandering through its narrow streets, visiting the birthplace of Marco Polo, and enjoying the local cuisine.

    Korčula to Šolta

    On your final day, start your journey back towards Split, stopping at the island of Šolta along the way. Stomorska, a quaint fishing village on Šolta, is the perfect spot for a final swim and a relaxed lunch. Afterwards, make your way back to Split, where your week-long sailing adventure comes to an end.

    Trogir – A Convenient Starting Point

    Starting your journey from Trogir is also an excellent option. Just a short drive from Split, Trogir offers a UNESCO-listed old town and a well-equipped marina. Trogir yacht charter services provide a range of options, from bareboat charters to crewed yachts, ensuring that your week-long adventure is tailored to your preferences.
